A performance cafe in Christchurch New Zealand, operating between 1997 and 1999 at 112a Lichfield Street, 1st floor. Founded by Jenny Alexander, Rosie Carnahan and Pamela Niskanen, the cafe was created to fill a gap in performance venues for emerging artists of all kinds. With a full bar, cafe menu, espresso coffees and funky decor, the venue played host to comedy, music, dance, poetry, open mic, theatre and film events. Open 7 nights a week, it became the hub of the local comedy scene, and a favourite stopover for national musical artists who were on South Island tours.
